Re: Saturday Brunch & FYI

Hello All,

Thank you very much to those who came out. The food was really great and we had a great chance to chat and socialize. After the brunch we went on for some beers and pool and well, finally went home at around 3:00pm. Man, our brunches always go late but they are quite worth it. Thanks Ben for the great call on that bar on the Danforth. Will post a few pics later.

Also, just as a note, I have removed\banned 5 people already from the group and I will take a look to remove a few more no-shows. As I dislike to have to apologize and I feel bad for the owner --who was very nice-- he even held some of the tables empty for us until past 11:30am in the hope for late comers, heck, he even turned people away to keep the space for us. You know in case of (very) late comers... Well, about 12 of you could not even bother to change your RSVP even when I warned that I would be remove no-shows as I cannot risk losing that venue for future use.

Seriously everyone, no-shows mess up our excellent vibe. If one decides, "heck, I am too lazy/tired/sleepy/hung over/just been alien abducted/got crams to even spend the 5 seconds to change your RSVP, then that's and issue, specially when 5, 10 or in this case 12 of you decide to just not give a damn, then you disrespect the people who do commit to come out and that is just rude, to me and even more so, to the members expecting those 12 people to show up.

Why am I sending this message to the whole group? Simple, I really do not have the time to have a "three strikes you are out system." I mean seriously, like a plain spelled warning is not enough? Oh well, off you go.

Okay, that serious business aside, I will be posting a few more meetups in the near future. I am thinking laid-back Jazz... Maybe some laser-tag like Amber suggested...

Take care everyone,

-Mauricio
